1Introduction
Welcome to RolePatrol. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the RolePatrol website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by Waarheid Marketing ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in the Netherlands.
By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.
2Service Description
RolePatrol is an AI-powered job search and career management platform that provides:
- Job tracking and application management
- AI-assisted CV and cover letter generation
- Job matching and analysis services
- Document parsing and management
- Career analytics and insights
3Account Registration
To use certain features of our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use our Service.
4Subscription and Payments
RolePatrol offers both free and paid subscription plans:
4.1 Free Tier
Limited features and monthly credit allocation as described on our pricing page.
4.2 Paid Subscriptions
Pro and Premium plans are billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are displayed in EUR and include applicable taxes. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
4.3 Credits System
AI features consume credits from your monthly allocation. Unused credits may roll over based on your plan. Credit costs for each feature are displayed before use.
4.4 Refunds
In accordance with EU consumer protection laws, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. However, by using the Service immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that you waive this right once credits have been consumed.
5Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
- Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Engage in automated scraping or data extraction without permission
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Share, sell, or transfer your account credentials
- Use AI-generated content to deceive or mislead employers
6Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Content
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Waarheid Marketing and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you upload (CVs, cover letters, job descriptions). By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process and store this content solely for providing the Service.
6.3 AI-Generated Content
Content generated by our AI tools based on your input belongs to you. However, you are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-generated content before use.
7Data Protection
We process your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and our Privacy Policy. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our data practices.
8Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service
- Accuracy or completeness of AI-generated content
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements
- Employment outcomes or job application success
9Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Waarheid Marketing and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:
- Breach of these Terms
- Suspected fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Non-payment of subscription fees
- Extended periods of inactivity (with prior notice)
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination as provided in our Privacy Policy.
11Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles.
For EU consumers: You may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. You can access the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
